Welcome to the Bear Den
Our Goals
In the Bear Den, there are four general achievement groups: God, Country, Family, and Self. There are achievement tasks and your Bear Cub must earn a certain number of achievements in each of the four groups to earn his Bear Badge. This is the year your son or daughter will grow in amazing ways.

Earning the Bear Rank
A boy or girl who is 9 years old or is in the third grade is a Bear, and his adventures are found in the Bear Handbook. Like all other new Cub Scouts, a Bear must first earn his Bobcat rank. After completing the requirements for Bobcat he may go on to complete the requirements for the Bear rank and the many electives that are offered for his rank.
