Earning the Lion Rank
A boy or girl who is 6 years old or is in Kindergarten is a Lion, and his adventures are found in the Lion Handbook. A 6 year old boy or girl in Kindergarten joins Cub Scouting with his parent or adult guardian. This is unique relative to other ranks in Cub Scouting. Lions and their adult partners are just that, partners. They attend meetings together, go on adventures like field trips together, and complete requirements together.
Lion Requirements to Advance
Complete each of the following Lion required adventures with your den or family:
a. Bobcat
b. Mountain Lion
c. Fun on the Run
d. King of the Jungle
d. Lion's Roar
e. Lion's Pride
Complete two Lion elective adventures of your den or family’s choosing.
Lion Uniform
Required: Lion Shirt
Each year: New Neckerchief, Same Slide for Wolf and Bear Dens.
Uniform Code: Your son or daughter should/will be encouraged to wear his uniform appropriately. The shirt should always be tucked in and orderly. The scout should understand the importance of representing the entire Boy Scout Organization while in uniform.
Patches that will be provided: Any Rank Advancement stickers that your son or daughter earns will be awarded during the Monthly Pack Meetings.
